Gathering Day
Sunday, September 13 | After 9:30 AM Worship
Kick off the new church year with our whole UCC Southbury family. Enjoy a bounce house, lawn games, AM Coffee, Mahjong, light food and pastries, and plenty of time to reconnect.

Drumming Circle 🪘
Saturday, September 19 | 2:00–3:00 PM
An outdoor community drumming circle led by Craig Norton. Bring a hand drum if you have one, or simply come and join in. Open to the church and wider community.

Fall Rummage Sale 🏷️
Thursday & Friday, October 1–2 | 5:00–7:00 PM
Saturday, October 3 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Shop clothing, household items, books, treasures, and more at our annual Fall Rummage Sale. Saturday features the popular 
$5 Bag Sale.

First Friday: Outdoor Game Night  🎯

Our monthly First Friday gatherings begin with an outdoor evening of games, food, and fellowship. Dinner is included. 
$20 per family or $10 per individual.

Trunk or Treat 🎃

Costumes, decorated trunks, treats, and plenty of Halloween fun for the whole family.

First Friday: Bingo Night 🙋

Holiday Fair 🎁
Saturday, November 14 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Celebrate the 60th Annual UCC Southbury Holiday Fair with shopping, auction items, themed baskets, jewelry, baked goods, food, fellowship, and holiday fun.

First Friday: Winter Paint & Sip 🎉
Friday, December 4 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Slow down during the holiday rush with a festive evening of painting, fellowship, and dinner. Non-alcoholic beverages provided. 
$20 per family or $10 per individual.

Christmas Movie & Pajamas 🎅

Come in your Christmas pajamas and enjoy a cozy holiday movie gathering for the whole family.

Children & Youth 

Sunday School | Grades K–8
Most Sundays | During 9:30 AM Worship
Sunday School is offered for children and youth during worship, with age-appropriate classes and opportunities for service, Communion, and churchwide mission projects. Younger children are welcome in the nursery.

First Day of Sunday School 🤨😀
Sunday, September 20 | 9:30 AM
Our regular Sunday School year begins! Children in grades K–8 are invited to learn, ask questions, build friendships, and grow in faith together.

B²: Bibles & Brunch 📖
September 27 & November 22 | Around 11:30 AM
Middle and high school students gather after church for Bible study over brunch. Locations and exact times may vary. Contact Theo or Victoria for details.

Tuesdays | 6:00–7:30 PM | The Hive
Youth Group gathers throughout the year for dinner, conversation, faith, friendship, and fun. 

Fall gatherings are:
October 6, October 20, and November 17, followed by December 1 and 15. Dinner is provided.

High School Fall Retreat 🍂
October 16–18
A fall weekend away especially for our high school students, with time for community, conversation, faith, and fun.

Confirmation 2026–27 ⛪︎
Begins Monday, October 5
Our new Confirmation year begins in October with classes, mentors, and experiences beyond the classroom. 
Fall classes meet:
October 5, 19 & 26
November 2, 9 & 16
December 7, 14 & 21.

Confirmation Field Trip: Orthodox Church 
Saturday, November 14
Confirmands will visit an Orthodox Christian church as part of a year of exploring Christianity and other faith traditions firsthand.

Christmas Pageant Rehearsals 🎄

Children and youth begin preparing for our annual Christmas Pageant during the Advent season.
