GROWING together: supporting children and families
At UCC Southbury, we embrace a diverse range of programs and events catering to children of all ages. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment where families can come together and forge lasting connections while nurturing their faith.
At every stage, our aim is to provide a supportive, nurturing environment that encourages personal growth, faith development, and the formation of lifelong bonds among children and their families.

Join us and become part of a community dedicated to the holistic growth and spiritual development of our youngest members.
Infants and toddlers
For our youngest members, we celebrate baptisms and provide nursery care during Sunday morning services. If you’re interested in connecting with other parents through our mom and child playgroup, please reach out to Carla at the church office for more information. We’re happy to help arrange opportunities to meet and engage with our church community!
Preschoolers
As children transition from our playgroup and nursery to the church’s outstanding preschool, they gain a unique advantage. Participating in the playgroup and nursery allows toddlers to familiarize themselves with their future preschool classmates, creating a comfortable and familiar environment from the start.
Our exceptional preschool offers church members priority registration and a 10% tuition discount. Moreover, our Associate Pastor, who holds an exceptional background in music and dance—a minor in dance during her college years, along with our dedicated Youth Music Director, who has a background in music therapy, both offer enriching activities at the preschool. This involvement ensures that children become familiar with these key adult mentors, establishing a connection that can continue as they grow older and participate in our broader programming.

Preschool children also benefit from nursery care during church services. This not only ensures they are welcome and well-cared-for but also allows parents to engage in worship without concern, knowing their children are in a safe and nurturing environment.
This pathway, from the early stages in our nursery and playgroup to the preschool setting, is designed to create a supportive and familiar journey for children, setting the stage for their growth and development within our community. |
