Meeting times + LOCATION
Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am for our in-person gathering, followed by a social hour. We also have a Bible study from 11 am to 12 pm. For those who prefer to connect online, our services are available on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/@unitedchurchofchristsouthbury

what to expect
During our gatherings, expect to encounter the presence of God through praise and worship, heartfelt prayers, and inspiring teachings. Our aim is to create a space where you can hear from God and experience His transformative power.
At UCC Southbury, our focus is on Christ rather than attire. There's no need to dress up, as most of our attendees opt for casual attire. On game days, you might even spot someone proudly sporting a Southbury or Pomperaug jersey.

children's ministry
We value the inclusion of children in our worship experience. During the service, children are welcome to worship alongside their parents. Additionally, following the Children's Message, they have the option to participate in Sunday School designed just for them.

Every Sunday, we gather in the cherished walls of our historic New England Meetinghouse for worship. Our church is deeply rooted in the rich history of Southbury, drawing strength from our heritage. However, we are also a church that remains attuned to the Spirit of God and the ongoing work He is doing in our time.
During our church service, you will experience the timeless beauty of traditional hymns. These melodies have the power to transcend words, allowing you to connect with God on a profound level. As we join together in worship, you will witness moments of meditation, heartfelt prayer, the reading and study of Scripture, and the sacred Sacrament of Communion, which we share on the first Sunday of each month. Additionally, we occasionally celebrate baptisms, rites, and other ceremonies that deepen our connection with God and one another. In this age of abundant technology, we are grateful for the ability to broadcast our services and extend an invitation to worship with us, learn from our Teacher and Savior Jesus, and connect with fellow believers. It is a privilege to live out the Scripture's exhortation to "encourage one another and build one another up" (1 Thessalonians 5:11) in this digital era.
